We currently serve around 2,200 customers with electric, water, and sanitary services. In 2019, we incurred a system-wide peak of 9.01 MW. This load is covered by 5 MW of federally owned hydropower capacity from Southwestern Power Administration, 6 MW of capacity from the coal-fired Plum Point Energy Station located in Osceola, Arkansas, and 3.5 MW of local emergency generation from our power plant.

Our goal is to provide you with a safe and dependable supply of drinking water, as a city, we want the consumer to understand, and be involved in the
efforts we make to continually improve the water treatment process and protect our water resources. Our local sources of drinking water come from up to six different wells pumping from the Nacatoch Sand Aquifer, the Wilcox Group Aquifer, or the Quaternary System Aquifer. These wells have been tested and shown to be clean and safe sources of water for Piggott and Clay County.
If you have any concerns about your water quality, please review our 2021 Drinking Water Quality Report or contact us at billing@cityofpiggott.org
